Jeffrey N. Rand has been appointed vice president for operations at Vans Inc. and continues as assistant to the president. Rand joined the Orange shoe manufacturer in 1991 as assistant to the president, handling special projects, and became director of distribution and planning in 1993. Before joining Vans, Rand was an operations consultant with KPMG Peat Marwick. In addition, Sari K. Ratsula has been appointed vice president for design and product development. Ratsula, who has been with Vans since 1989, was formerly director of product development.

Also, Mason T. Bailey has been appointed vice president of operations in Vista. He previously served as plant manager of the company’s Vista manufacturing facility. Gordon C. Lee Jr. has been appointed vice president and Western regional sales manager. He has been Western regional sales manager since 1992. And Marc A. Gold has been appointed vice president and Eastern regional sales manager. Gold became Eastern regional sales manager in 1993. Before joining Vans in 1993, he worked in sales at L.A. Gear Inc.
