Limits Placed on Former Platinum Software Executives: U.S. District Judge Alicemarie H. Stotler in Santa Ana ordered Platinum founder Gerald R. Blackie and other former executives to notify the court if they plan to transfer more than $100,000 in cash or $10,000 in assets out of the country, attorneys in the case said. Stotler placed the limit on the former executives to ensure that there will be money available to pay plaintiffs in a pending shareholder suit. Shareholders sued the Irvine-based company in January, alleging financial improprieties. The company acknowledged that it misreported revenue in April, whereupon Blackie and others resigned.
