UCI Takes Aim in Basketball

Games against Oklahoma, Arizona State and Oregon State highlight the UC Irvine men’s basketball schedule for 1994-95.

The Anteaters begin the season with five consecutive road games, including the season opener on Nov. 30 at Oklahoma. Irvine’s home opener is Dec. 20 against Oregon State.

Senior guard Chris Brown, who made a school-record 122 three-point baskets last season, returns for the Anteaters. Last season, Irvine lost in the Big West tournament final to New Mexico State, 70-64.

The 1994-95 schedule:

Nov. 30--at Oklahoma.

Dec. 2-3--at Iowa Hawkeye tournament; 10--at San Diego; 17--at Arizona State; 20--Oregon State; 23--St. Mary’s.

Jan. 3--Cal State Fullerton; 7--at Nevada Las Vegas; 9--at New Mexico State; 14--Nevada; 16--Utah State; 19--at Pacific; 21--at San Jose State; 26--Long Beach State; 28--UC Santa Barbara.

Feb. 2--Nevada Las Vegas; 4--New Mexico State; 9--at Utah State; 11--at Nevada; 16--San Jose State; 18--Pacific; 23--at UC Santa Barbara; 25--Long Beach State.

March 1--Cal State Northridge; 4--at Cal State Fullerton; 9-12--at Big West tournament, Las Vegas.
