Mann to Head Foreign Operations at Vans Inc.

* William C. Mann has joined Vans Inc. in Orange as vice president for foreign sourcing. In that position, he will manage the implementation of offshore operations for the shoe manufacturing company.

Mann founded Items International Inc., an importer of private label footwear, in 1978, and subsequently formed Airwalk as a division. Mann was president of Airwalk from 1986 to 1992.

* Jill Kanzler has been appointed community relations manager for Gladstone International, an Irvine public relations and marketing firm.

Before joining the firm, she spent four years in political consulting for such clients as Los Angeles Supervisor Deane Dana, Assemblyman Paul Horcher, (R-Diamond Bar), and state Senate Speaker Pro Tempore David A. Roberti, (D-Van Nuys).

* Paul J. Hamilton has been appointed a senior loan officer for the Newport Beach loan center of Glendale Federal Bank. He was formerly a production manager for Western Financial. Before that, Hamilton was an assistant branch manager for Great Western Savings and a loan officer for California Federal.
