From Coach Paul Van Himst on the Belgian fears of their next rival:

“What first comes to my mind is: They (the Arabs) are hungry! That’s what makes their football. Those guys would give their life on the field. Did you see the reaction of that No. 6 (Faud Amin) when he shot his goal facing Holland? He was like a madman, not wanting to be touched, and he started to run around the ground. None of us would have such an attitude in such circumstances. One could see that, for that player, feelings were going far beyond the context of football. Those guys have so many things to prove to their people.”
