Simpson Murder Case : Outside The Courthouse
As attorneys argued inside the courtroom, Simpson’s supporters and detractors debated furiously on the sidewalks. Some vendors hawked T-shirts that read: “Pray for O.J.” and “Turn Loose the Juice.” “I’m here to show support that he’s innocent,” said T-shirt vendor Rory Felix. He said proceeds would go toward Simpson’s defense.
Historic Hearing
It is unlikely the Simpson preliminary hearing will to overtake the 18-month record set in the McMartin Pre-School molestation case. In March, 1984, Ray Buckey, right, was rearrested, along with his sister, mother, grandmother and three other teachers. Various proceedings lasted until 1990, when a judge declared a mistrial, ending the longest, costliest criminal case in U.S. history.
