* Douglas Sherrod has been appointed vice president of sales and marketing at NBase Switch Communications, a Chatsworth-based company that designs and manufactures devices for data communications. Sherrod co-founded Allied Telesis Inc., a Mountain View-based manufacturer of local area network phone products.

Previously, she was senior vice president and chief financial officer at El Segundo First National Bank. * Thomas D. Leaper has been appointed chief operating and financial officer of Styles on Video Inc., a Canoga Park-based marketer of computer imaging systems.
