BREA : Family Movie Series to Begin July 8

Free family-oriented movies will be shown on a 12-foot outdoor screen at the Arovista Park Amphitheatre this summer. Sponsoring the second annual “Family Fridays” program are the city of Brea and the Brea Foundation.

Audience members are asked to bring blankets, picnic dinners and beach chairs to the screenings, which will begin at 8:15 p.m. Fridays. Snacks will be available for purchase, with proceeds helping support the seven-week program.

Beginning the series July 8 will be “Beethoven’s 2nd,” starring Charles Grodin. The screenings will continue with “The Land Before Time,” July 15; “The Three Musketeers,” July 22; “Cool Runnings,” July 29; “Duck Tales: The Movie” and “Treasure of the Lost Lamp,” Aug. 5; “Iron Will,” Aug. 12, and “D2: The Mighty Ducks,” Aug. 19.
