People who must travel frequently for work--more than five times a year--are fairly private and are not superstitious, according to a recent survey.

* More people will keep to themselves than strike up a conversation on the road. Keep to themselves: 61% Strike up conversations: 39%

* Overall, younger business travelers are more private. Percentage likely to strike up conversations: Under age 35: 31% Age 35-49: 37% Over age 50: 46%

* Higher income travelers are less likely to get into conversations. Percentage likely to strike up conversations: Household income under $50,000: 47% $50,000-$75,000: 41% Over $75,000: 29%

* Few travelers are concerned about the number 13. Percentage bothered when hotel puts them on 13th floor or in Room 13: Bothered: 7% Not bothered: 93%

* Among travelers with young children, it is more common than not for them to return from trips with gifts for their children. Try to bring gifts home from every trip: 57% Do not: 43%
