The 1994 International Imitation Raymond Chandler Writing Competition is being announced by Friends of the La Jolla Library. The object is to parody in 500 words the writing style of the man who invented the hard-boiled whodunit and left the world the fictional character Philip Marlowe, a tough, witty and honorable detective.
