* Bravo, great job and well done to the DMV for finally updating the driving test! Sixty years and literally thousands of accidents later, we finally are requiring motorists to learn the rules of the road before they drive.
What concerns me is why we had to wait so long for a change. Both the freeway conditions and number of vehicles on the road today are hardly comparable to what they were 60 years ago. To expect a driving exam to remain accurate for this length of time is absurd.
And to the 75% who fail the new test the first time they try--don't worry. You can practice and take the test again later. Look at the DMV--it took them 60 years to get it right. Let's just hope it doesn't take them that long next time.
