FileNet Corp.: The Costa Mesa document imaging company said its second-quarter profit tripled to $4.1 million, or 35 cents a share, from $1.3 million, or 12 cents a share, for the same period a year earlier. Revenue increased 17% to $44.9 million from $38.3 million. For the first half, the company said its profit rose to $6.5 million, or 56 cents a share, from $1.6 million, or 14 cents a share, a year earlier. Six-month revenue was 15% higher, climbing to $83.7 million from $73.0 million. Included in results for the latest quarter were $1.3 million of product revenue and $1.2 million of service revenue that had been previously deferred because of a customer dispute that was resolved.
