Hycor Biomedical Inc.: The Irvine medical diagnostic products company reported a 2% decline in profit for the second quarter, to $814,000, or 10 cents a share, from $827,000, or 9 cents a share, for the same period last year. Revenue increased 13% to $7.1 million from $6.3 million.
For the first six months of 1994, the company's profit more than doubled to $1.6 million, or 19 cents a share, from $698,000, or 8 cents a share, for the same period last year. The 1993 results included $1.2 million set aside to cover the cost of plant closures. Six-month revenue was up 11% to $13.6 million from $12.2 million.
