CAMARILLO : $13.9-Million Plan OK’d for Budget
Pledging to improve and renovate many of the city’s streets, highways, sewer and landscaping districts, the Camarillo City Council has approved a $13.9-million spending plan included in the city’s 1994-95 capital improvement budget.
The council approved the expenditures at its meeting Wednesday.
Highlights of the spending plan include $2.5 million for improvements of the Carmen Drive/Ventura Freeway interchange, $2.1 million on renovations for the city’s new police facility at the Bill Esty Center and $2.6 million for a plant expansion project for the city’s sanitation district, according to City Manager Bill Little.
Other expenditures include $600,000 for improvements of the Pleasant Valley and Lewis roads intersection, $160,000 for street light synchronization on Santa Rosa Road and $250,000 for street widening on Las Posas Road. Additionally, $2 million will be spent on street maintenance citywide.
