Unocal to Offer Food and a Fill-Up: Drivers will be able to order lunch and fill their tank at the same time beginning today at a Unocal Corp. station just off I-5 at Lebec. The arrangement between Unocal and Nathan’s Famous Inc.--owner of a family restaurant chain that lays claim to the original Coney Island Hot Dog--includes menus attached to the gasoline pumps and intercoms that allow drivers to order fast food while they refuel, to be ready to eat when they pick it up. The feature is part of several improvements Unocal plans to make at about 200 of its stations. Another change: pumps that fill gas tanks 40% faster than many of those now in stations.
