Clinton Press Conference Today
President Clinton will hold his third prime-time news conference at 5 p.m. PDT today to promote his health care plan and answer questions on other topics.
The conference will be aired live on ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN and C-SPAN. Spanish-language stations KMEX and KVEA will also carry the conference live.
White House Press Secretary Dee Dee Myers said the news conference was designed to coincide with a push to get a Democratic health care plan through the Senate. Reporters are likely to press him on other issues, including the Whitewater hearings and a possible invasion of Haiti.
