CareLine Inc.: The Irvine provider of ambulance services reported a profit of $962,000, or 7 cents a share, for the second quarter. That contrasted with a loss of $178,000, or 3 cents a share, for the same period in 1993. Revenue rose to $26.2 million from $4.5 million. Profit for the first half totaled $1.8 million, or 13 cents a share, contrasted with a loss of $5,000, or 1 cent a share, for the first half of 1993. Six-month revenue increased to $46.1 million from $8.8 million. The company said the increases in revenue and income were largely attributable to acquisitions made in the second half of 1993 and the first half of 1994.
