George Miller has been appointed vice president/merchandising for HomeBase Inc.’s plumbing and electrical departments. Miller previously spent 25 years with Sears, Roebuck & Co., most recently as senior merchandise manager. Also, Gerard Simpson has joined the Irvine-based home improvement warehouse chain as garden buyer. His previous experience includes stints as seasonal/hardlines buyer-Western region for Home Depot Inc. and as home improvement buyer for Price Club.
