Manhattan Beach: City Manager Accepts Position in Westminster
City Manager Bill Smith has accepted an offer to become the city manager in Westminster.
Smith, 54, who has been the city manager in Manhattan Beach for five years, said he will begin the $110,000-a-year job Sept. 5.
“It’s a much larger city with a different set of challenges,” Smith said. “It’s a city that’s heavily into redevelopment, which is of interest to me.”
The City Council has yet to appoint a temporary city manager.
