ALISO VIEJO : Site for School Bus Yard Still Sought
The Capistrano Unified School District, reacting to objections from residents, has decided not to build a bus yard on Aliso Creek Road.
Residents had argued that the yard would increase noise, worsen traffic problems and reduce property values.
The district is investigating other possible sites in the city for storing about 100 school buses, district spokeswoman Jacqueline Price said.
“With communities growing, we have a real need for an alternate transportation site” to the bus yard in Capistrano Beach, Price said. “Aliso Viejo has good proximity to the San Joaquin Hills Transportation Corridor.”
