Revlon Cancels Magazine Ads: The cosmetics company pulled its advertisements from Hearst Magazines, a unit of Hearst Corp., the Wall Street Journal reported. A spokeswoman for Hearst said the action was apparently taken after the September issue of Esquire magazine published a profile of Patricia Duff, a companion of Ron Perelman, Revlon Inc.’s chairman. The spokeswoman declined to comment on the billings, but an industry executive said Revlon spends $5 million to $8 million annually in Hearst magazines.
