Warren Buffett bought 4.9 million shares of stock in Coca-Cola Co. in July, boosting his stake to 99.87 million shares, or 7.75% of the Atlanta-based firm, according to filings with the Securities and Exchange Commission. . . . Redwood Shores, Calif.-based Oracle Corp. said it ended talks with Menlo Park-based Gupta Corp. about a potential business combination between the two computer software companies. . . . Comptronix Corp. said it plans to sell its San Jose division in an effort to combat its overcapacity problems. . . . Tetra Tech Inc. of Pasadena has declared a 5-for-4 stock split, payable Sept. 16 to shareholders of record Sept. 2.
