From Times Staff and Wire Reports

Bosnian Serb leaders announced they will formally seek to link their territories with the rump Yugoslavia and Serbian-held parts of Croatia. The move appeared timed to increase Bosnian Serb opposition to an internationally negotiated peace plan that would require the Serbs to give up nearly a third of the 70% of Bosnia they control. Bosnian Serbs are to vote on the proposal Aug. 27-28. The rebels also withdrew permission for the evacuation of dangerously ill women and children from the Muslim enclave of Gorazde.
