Be Real Now, a troubled fourth in the Las Damas Handicap on July 30, is the 3-1 favorite for the $20,000 Bobby Doyle Memorial Handicap tonight at Los Alamitos.

Named for the longtime track announcer at Los Alamitos, the Doyle will be run at 400 yards and, besides Be Real Now, eight other 3-year-old fillies were entered.

Owned by Terry Smith and trained by Brian Koriner, Be Real Now was bumped and jostled from both sides at the start of the Las Damas and finished fourth, beaten by 1 3/4 lengths. Down With Debt won the Las Damas and returned to upset Refrigerator in the Go Man Go Handicap a week ago.
