Le Meridien Names Catering Chief

Annette Walker has been appointed catering director for Le Meridien Hotel in Newport Beach. Before joining the hotel, she was catering director for the Queen Mary in Long Beach.

* Debra B. Newbrough has joined Sunwest Bank in Tustin as vice president and manager of the real estate department. Newbrough has 18 years of experience in real estate and commercial lending and credit administration.

* Frank R. Anderson has joined National Bank of Southern California as vice president and SBA manager. He will work in the bank’s Orange office. He has more than 20 years’ experience in banking and finance.

* Phillip Langford has joined the Orange County Business Journal as vice president for marketing and advertising. He succeeds Roger Kranz, who is now retail sales manager for The Times Orange County Edition. Langford ran his own marketing consulting company for the past three years. Before that, he was senior vice president of Wakeman & deForrest, an Irvine advertising agency.
