Nation IN BRIEF : MASSACHUSETTS : President Spends Rainy Day Inside
President Clinton, who began his summer vacation with a weekend of outdoor sports, whiled away a rainy day inside. He slept late, read books and spent time with the family. The Clintons are borrowing a 25-acre estate owned by developer Richard Friedman for their Martha’s Vineyard vacation. The Clintons were to dine at the summer home of author William Styron, who wrote “Sophie’s Choice,” and “Confessions of Nat Turner” among other novels.
