WEST ADAMS : 10K Walkathon to Benefit AIDS Project

The West Adams Heritage Assn. is organizing residents to participate in the 10th annual walkathon Sept. 25 benefiting AIDS Project Los Angeles.

This will be the first year that the residents association will have a team in the 10-kilometer walk.

Participants are encouraged to register now to receive a sponsor form and information. Sponsors who pledge $1 a kilometer, for example, would pay $10.

Registration for the walk is 9 a.m. Sept. 25. The opening ceremony is at 9:30 a.m., and the walk begins at 10 a.m.
