Julian Rachlin will replace violinist Midori in the Oct. 23 concert by Esa-Pekka Salonen and the Los Angeles Philharmonic sponsored by the Orange County Philharmonic Society at the Orange County Performing Arts Center in Costa Mesa. Midori has canceled her entire fall tour schedule because of illness. Rachlin will be the soloist in Prokofiev’s Violin Concerto No. 1. Salonen also will conduct Carlos Rodriguez’s “Pasacalle” and Sibelius’ Symphony No. 5. (714) 553-2422.
