Moved to Action
On Sept. 7, a letter published in this paper stated that I was conned into signing the Weldon Canyon landfill petition.
For the writer’s information, I carried the petition as a volunteer. I am not totally oblivious to what has been happening for years in regards to trash disposal.
Attending nearly every council meeting in my city, on numerous occasions attending Board of Supervisors meetings and an occasional Waste Commission meeting, I am well aware that a decision on waste disposal has been adroitly avoided by a majority of the Board of Supervisors for many years. There comes a time when concerned voters and taxpayers move to action.
