Heavy Rains Cause Flooding in Guatemala

GUATEMALA CITY —
Authorities evacuated three villages in central Guatemala after two rain-swollen rivers burst their banks.
More than 600 people were rescued from villages in the province of Alta Verapaz after 72 hours of torrential rains, government officials said Tuesday.
No deaths were reported, but crops and homes were damaged.
