Typhoon Heads for Japan

TOKYO —
A typhoon packing winds up to 97 m.p.h. bore down on Japan’s main islands Wednesday night, destroying a 26-foot-high breakwater on Shikoku island, one of Japan’s main islands, forcing people on the coast to evacuate.
