LA PUENTE : $1,000 Donated Toward Graffiti Eradication
Young Hearts With Hope, a nonprofit graffiti prevention organization in La Puente, recently received a $1,000 donation from Kleen Kraft Services and the Alta-Dena Dairy.
Valerie Brannon, founder of the anti-graffiti group, will use the money to involve youths and their parents in painting vine murals over graffiti-defaced walls. Previously, Brannon painted vine murals on a wall at the Alta-Dena Dairy headquarters and production offices in the City of Industry.
The donation was made possible through a program in which Kleen Kraft, a uniform supply company based in the City of Commerce, donates 50 cents each time a company rents one of its “Say No to Drugs” entrance mats. More than $10,000 has been raised and donated to anti-drug and graffiti prevention groups in Southern California.
