Sega to Put Saturn Video Game Player on Sale: Sega Enterprises said it will put its next-generation video game player on sale in Japan on Nov. 22, the first shot in a new battle for supremacy in the world’s video game market. The machine, known as Saturn, will sell for $495. Sega is the first among the main contenders, which include Nintendo Co., the world’s largest maker, and newcomer Sony Corp., to release the next-generation games player. Sony will sell its machine, the PlayStation, later this year in time for Christmas, while Nintendo will not have its own, even more powerful, machine out until later next year. Sony’s machine has not yet been priced but will sell for around $500.
