STUDIO CITY : Renter of ‘Party Palace’ Hillside Mansion Sues City

Jerry Bolduc, master of the revels at the “Party Palace”--a controversial hillside mansion where annoyed neighbors say the fun never stops--has sued the city of Los Angeles for $1 million, complaining that city officials are harassing him and ruining his name.

“They are making all these wild accusations about things I haven’t done,” said Bolduc, who also goes by the name “Jerry Bo.” “Girls that I wanted to date think that I have wild orgies now,” he said. “After all this, who is ever going to rent to me again?”

Bolduc has been at odds with city officials, who sided with neighbors complaining that the sprawling 7,500-square-foot mansion he leases on Wrightwood Drive houses a commercial venture where hundreds of people at a time paid admission to attend all-night parties where they buy drinks.

The city attorney’s office sued to put an end to the parties. The mansion’s owner, Paul Campbell, and the mortgage holder on the $2-million house signed a settlement two weeks ago. It promised that any parties would be limited to a maximum of 25 guests, wind up by 10 p.m. and no alcohol would be sold.

Bolduc said after the settlement that he, as lessee of the building, was not a part of the agreement and scoffed at the limits. His lawsuit against the city asks for damages for infliction of emotional distress, libel, slander, defamation, trespassing and invasion of privacy.
