From Times Staff and Wire Reports

Marvel Entertainment President Quits: The company confirmed that Bruce Stein resigned over differences over the company's operating and management style. The Wall Street Journal previously reported that Stein disagreed with the toy, comic book and licensing company's hiring policies. The Journal said Stein wanted to bring in his own management team but that those plans were rejected by executives of Toy Biz, one of Marvel's licensees. Stein joined Marvel after leaving toy maker Hasbro Inc. in June. Stein had been the head of Hasbro's Kenner Products division, which includes Nerf products and Jurassic Park toys. Marvel said Stein's duties will be taken over by Chief Executive William Bevins Jr.
