Allergan Inc.: The Irvine eye care company reported earnings of $30.2 million, or 47 cents a share, for the third quarter, compared with $30.1 million, or 46 cents a share, for the same quarter last year. Sales gained 12% to $242.2 million from $216.9 million. For the first three quarters, profit declined 3% to $75.9 million, or $1.19 a share, from $78.4 million, or $1.18 a share, in the year-earlier period. Sales rose 8% to $677 million from $627.6 million.
