Birtcher Posts Quarterly Loss

Medical products manufacturer Birtcher Medical Systems Inc. reported a net loss of $706,900, or 7 cents a share, for its first fiscal quarter, compared with a net loss of $585,000, or 6 cents a share, for the like period a year ago. Sales for the quarter ended Sept. 30 declined 30%, to $7.1 million from $10.1 million.
