FULLERTON : Student Group Plans Blood Drive at College
A student group is organizing a blood drive Tuesday and Wednesday at Cal Sate Fullerton’s Titan Gym.
The event will run from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., and the goal is to get at least 250 people to give blood, said J.J. Garuba, spokesman for the Interfraternal Greek Council, the group sponsoring the Red Cross drive.
“There’s been a real shortage of blood donation lately, and the Red Cross is really looking at college campuses to increase donations,” said Garuba, 23, a political science student.
“We think it’s a really worthwhile cause because every pint of blood saves between four to seven lives, on average.”
