Computer Science’s CEO to Step Down: The El Segundo-based company said William Hoover, chief executive since 1972, will retire March 31. Van Honeycutt, currently president and chief operating officer of Computer Sciences Corp., will replace him, the company said. Hoover, who also has been chairman since 1972, will continue in that role. Hoover, who joined Computer Sciences in 1964 when he left Nasa’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory, presided over the company’s surge in revenue over the past few years. Computer Sciences installs and runs complex computer systems for other companies and government agencies.
