Ford to Invest in Stamping Plant: The auto maker plans to put close to $200 million into its metal stamping plant in Woodhaven, Mich., through late 1996, for new stamping presses and related equipment required to accommodate increased production of components. Ford Motor Co. said the increase will lead to 150 new jobs and the preservation of 200 others. Included in the new business at the plant will be body panels and other stamped components for the Mercury Mystique and Ford Contour and for the coming 1995 Lincoln Continental.
