Butler’s Comments

Just when I had lost all hope for the Los Angeles Times, along comes the Calendar Q&A; with Dan Butler and his wry comments on being a gay man playing a straight character on TV (“Butler’s Out to Reorient the Take on Gay, Straight Roles,” Oct. 4). Great! Funny! Finally, a fresh perspective on our culture (or lack thereof).
