Cineplex Odeon Corp., Canada’s largest entertainment company, with 1,624 movie screens in North America, announced a profit of $5.8 million, or 5 cents a share, on sales of $163.8 million, compared to a year-ago profit of $2.7 million, or 3 cents a share, on sales of $166.8 million.
