Brokerage Sues Prodigy: A brokerage that earlier this year agreed to pay $2.5 million to settle securities fraud charges has sued Prodigy Services Co. for libel, saying a subscriber to the computer on-line service defamed the company and its president. Stratton Oakmont Inc., of Lake Success, N.Y., and President Daniel Porush filed a $100-million suit in New York State Supreme Court in Mineola against Prodigy and subscriber David Lusby. The suit seeks an additional $100 million in punitive damages. Prodigy is jointly owned by IBM and Sears.
