New Antitrust Suit Filed Against Microsoft: The lawsuit, filed in federal court in Los Angeles for UNI-CGS Inc., a computer packager and reseller based in Walnut, Calif., claims that Microsoft Corp. monopolizes personal computer software because it licenses its operating systems only to large manufacturers. The suit was the eighth accusing Microsoft of bullying small companies to be filed by Los Angeles lawyer Thomas T. Chan. Greg Shaw, a spokesman for Redmond, Wash.-based Microsoft, said company officials hadn’t seen the latest lawsuit and could not comment on it. The Microsoft operating systems MS-DOS and Windows are standard on most IBM-compatible PCs.
