Moo-ving Experience--Preschoolers and their parents are invited to Oak Canyon Nature Center for a barnyard presentation of life on the farm.

The one-hour session will teach children about farm life through exploration of the five senses. Activities include petting baby chicks and identifying different farm animal sounds. Participants will also create their own animal puppets and stage a theater show.

Cool Camping--If winter camping sounds appealing, Oak Canyon Nature Center is offering a special program just for you.

Discover the best ways to keep toes warm and toasty even if temperatures dip below freezing. The session will cover survival techniques, including how to effectively layer clothing and how to melt snow for drinking water. Cold weather traveling tips will also be covered.

The program, called Winter Camping, will be Saturday and begins at 10 a.m. For more information, or to register, call (714) 998-8380.

To get there, take the Riverside (91) Freeway to the Imperial Highway turnoff. Exit and head south to Nohl Ranch Road. Turn left and travel about three miles to Walnut Canyon Road, and turn left again. Pass the Anaheim Hills Golf Course; the nature center is at the end of the road, parking is on the left.
