Oregon Absentee Vote Gives GOP House Seat

Associated Press

Republicans picked up another seat in Oregon’s five-member congressional delegation after absentee ballots were tallied, while another House race remained too close to call.

The absentee votes pushed state Sen. Jim Bunn past Democratic state Sen. Catherine Webber by 6,809 votes. The total was 117,106 votes for Bunn to 110,297 for Webber.

That pulled Republicans even with Democrats in the delegation, with the 1st District race still undecided.
