Council Lists 1994 ‘Worst U.S. Corporate Polluters’: In the latest of its annual evaluations, the Council on Economic Priorities, a New York-based environmental research group, gives black marks to Union Carbide Corp., Exxon Corp., International Paper Co., Southern Co., Texaco Inc., Westinghouse Electric Co., Westvaco and Maxxam Inc., based on evaluations by an independent panel of judges who reviewed more than 100 U.S. corporations.
