In a continuing effort to fight breast and cervical cancer, the Northeast Community Clinic offers free health screenings for low-income and uninsured women.
For four years, the clinic has provided free Pap smears, which are used to detect cervical cancer, and breast examinations, citing studies that show that older and low-income women do not regularly receive such exams, spokesman Eddie Farias said.
The clinic is at 5809 N. Figueroa St. Appointments are required.
