WASHINGTON —
Defense Secretary William J. Perry will spend the Thanksgiving Day holiday with U.S. troops in Haiti, a defense official said Tuesday.
“He’ll travel to a number of locations,” Pentagon spokesman Ken Bacon said. “It’s one of his ways of saying thank you to the troops who’ve done such a great job down there.” The Defense Department said U.S. troops in Haiti and Kuwait will celebrate Thanksgiving Day with special meals.
