Reseda Tree Planting Ignores Area’s Ecology

Share

The Santa Monica Mountains conservancy’s plan to plan to plant trees at Reseda Boulevard in Topanga State Park shows a complete lack of understanding of biology and ecology.

How do they expect to educate the public on environmental limitations when they are spending millions to plant trees and grass in an area that never had any trees and that will need a permanent supply of water to maintain them?

We are chronically short of water now.

Native flora and fauna will suffer or be taken out.

This is not the use for which we voted for Proposition A. We need to expand, not contract open space.
